Restoring Family Links Program

Family Support volunteers offer emotional and practical support to families from across B.C. and the Yukon whose children have been admitted to B.C. Children's Hospital in Vancouver.  The volunteers assist with transportation, provision of emergency supplies such as clothing and toiletries, and help families find the services they need in Vancouver.

RespectED:  Violence & Abuse Prevention

You can play an active role in preventing abuse and violence in your community by learning more about the issues, and becoming a force for prevention in your community. Get involved, get trained!

Medical Equipment Loan Service

The Canadian Red Cross HELP - Short Term Loan Service loans medical equipment (with medical referral) to people in need, on a donation basis. Equipment Maintenance volunteers ensure that clients receive equipment that is of the highest standard of safety by inspecting equipment and making adjustments and repairs as required.

Youth TAP: Working Group Member 

This Working Group has a mandate to plan, organize and help facilitate the Youth TAP’s January Humanity Strikes Back! youth conference. This two day conference aims to help high school aged youth gain the knowledge, skills, resources and confidence necessary to be leaders on global issues, specifically, children and war, the poverty disease cycle and landmines & cluster munitions. Members of this working group will also have the added benefit of receiving training to become Action Skills Workshop Resource Leaders, learning how to facilitate the Events 101, Using the Media, Building a Culture of Peace, Active Global Citizenship, and Building Consensus workshops.
