Hello UBC Trick or Eaters!

Trick or Eat happened Friday and we would like to thank those of you that braved the rain and cold to help us scare up some food for the food bank! As a joint venture by the AMS food bank and Meal Exchange UBC, this event hosted 401 students, who together brought in over 7000 cans, boxes and packages of food: this amounted to about 8750 pounds of food! The food not only stocked the shelves of the AMS food bank, but also helped fill shelves in the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

A huge thank-you is owed to the volunteers, who spent their night sorting, boxing, and counting food, to the drivers who helped transport huge loads of food, and to all the participants who made this event possible.

Don't forget, online fundraising is still occuring, you or your friends/family can make a monetary donation that will ultimately be used to provide more meals to people in need. trickoreat.ca!
